Terms

  • Art Lessons
    • General category referring to all Classes, Studios, and Workshops.
  • Class
    • More guidance with greater emphasis on instruction and skill growth.
    • Smaller group sizes for more direct guidance from the instructor.
  • Studio
    • Less step-by-step instruction and more support for independent ideas.
    • Time for artists to explore their own ways of expression using the skills they know already.
    • Developing new skills through trial and error with an instructor to help process the methodologies.
  • Workshop
    • Ticketed one-off or serialized events
    • Step by step instruction and explanation on a specific topic or theme.
  • Class-pack
    • A group of lessons purchased at one time.
  • Absent Art Projects
    • Take home projects for students considered absent from a scheduled lesson.

Conditions

  1. Artwork & Physical Products
    1. Returns
      1. Purchases are eligible for a return up to 30 days after purchase. If 30 days have passed since your purchase, StudioDylon can’t offer you a full refund or exchange.
      2. Shipping costs are non-refundable.
      3. Due to the nature of original art products, there is no exchange policy provided
      4. To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it and must be repackaged in the original manner shipped or better. Failure to do so may result in a partial refund or none at all.
      5. Art received in unfit packaging resulting in damages are not eligible for a return.
      6. Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
      7. If you are approved a refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.
    2. Sales
      1. All sale items are final and not eligible for a refund or exchange.
    3. Damages
      1. Items damaged are not eligible for a full refund or exchange.
    4. Digital Products
      1. All digital items are final sale and not eligible for a refund or exchange.
  2. All Programming
    1. Liability & Media Release Form
      1. Each student under the age of 18 must have a Liability and Media release form filled and signed by a parent or guardian before attending any programs with Studio Dylon.
      2. Forms are to ensure student safety in case of emergency and extra protection for vulnerable students.
    2. Cancellations by StudioDylon
      1. Any program cancelled due low enrolment or to unforeseen circumstances by StudioDylon (Dylon Feyen) or any partnered venue will be offered an equivalent program rescheduled at a later date, a rebooking to a similar program, or a full refund if a rescheduling is not possible.
      2. Clients will be notified over 48 hours in advance of the class for rescheduling.
      3. Programs may only be rescheduled up to 3 times before it is completely cancelled and refunds will be issued.
    3. Class-Packs and Cancelling Scheduled Classes
      1. Class packs are scheduled at the time of purchase and may be rescheduled up to 48 hours in advance.
      2. Remaining classes expire at the end of the current t.d.s.b. session (end of June) unless prearranged before the summer season. Please inform Dylon if you have expiring classes to arrange a credit or to schedule for the fall.
    4. Absent Students
      1. Classes cancelled by a student or guardian within 48 hours of the class is considered a missed booking and the student is marked absent.
      2. Rescheduling is not guaranteed for missed bookings due to maximum class sizes and new arrival students. In this circumstance the student is entitled to a free Absent Art Project.
      3. No refunds or rescheduling can be offered for missed bookings due to resource and accommodation costs.
  3. Class Enrolment Thresholds
    1. Classes have a maximum of 6 students per instructor.
    2. Classes have a minimum of 2 students to operate.
  4. Studio Enrolment Thresholds
    1. Studios have a maximum of 10 students per instructor.
    2. Studios have a minimum of 2 students to operate.
  5. Workshop Enrolment Thresholds
    1. Workshops have a maximum of 15 students per instructor.
    2. Workshops have a minimum of 3 students to operate.
  6. Camp Enrolment Thresholds
    1. Camps have a maximum of 6 students per instructor and may have multiple instructors in the studio to accommodate a second camp.
    2. Camps have a minimum of 2 students to operate.
  7. Dangerous Practices and Expulsion
    1. Corrections
      1. If a student is found harmful or negligent in the studio that may result in any sort of incident or injury may be required to stop participating in the lesson.
      2. Students will be instructed about safer practices and guardians will be informed of corrected behaviour.
    2. Warnings
      1. Consistent negligent behaviour will result in a formal warning and a written report of the incident will be provided to parents.
      2. Students may be removed from the lesson with a formal warning and parents will be requested to pick up their student early.
    3. Student Expulsions
      1. After 3 warnings the student may be expelled from the program.
      2. Refunds are not permitted for expulsions.
  8. Sponsorship
    1. Expectations
      1. All parties involved including StudioDylon and respective Sponsors are expected to engage professionally and with respect towards each other and our community.
      2. StudioDylon reserves the right to deny a sponsorship for any reason.
    2. Apron Sponsors
      1. Company branding is printed on patches that must be child-friendly and free from mature themes.
      2. Patches are guaranteed for 6 months and will be re-affixed if removed on accident or repaired if altered by students.
      3. Patches will not be removed purposefully at any time unless sponsorship has been explicitly terminated or aprons become unusable.
      4. Efforts will be made to recover patches from damaged aprons and patches will be re-affixed to new aprons when possible.
    3. Termination of Sponsorship
      1. A sponsorship may be terminated if the sponsoring company or a representative is found harmful or negligent towards StudioDylon or our community. Ie. expressing dangerous opinions in a public forum.
      2. A sponsor may choose to terminate their sponsorship at any time.
      3. Terminated sponsorships are not eligible for a refund and will no longer be affiliated with StudioDylon.

Late or missing refunds

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.

Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Returning a Product

To return artwork or to request rescheduling or all other questions please contact:

You will receive return instructions and will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item.

It is recommended to use a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance as we do not guarantee the return of any product.
