Description
The Primitives series of works has Feyen returning to his expertise of constructed compositions. Using Crayons and India Ink these pieces utilize this unpredictable combination to reflect Feyen’s artistic nature. Each composition is crafted using Crayola crayons in methodical and planned marks. While a level of play occurs in the planning, each piece comes alive through the application of ink. Stark black India Ink is washed into the architectural scenes using water to pull ink through capillary action while also containing it behind the hydrophobic wax crayons.
